All games will be on the road and for four reasons:
-
The Niagara Region does not have facilities that match our opponent's facilities.
-
Experience. Our opponent's facilities are fantastic. The experience of playing there is unrivaled.
-
Close proximity. The longest road trip is Thiel, which is only 3 hours away.
-
Getting into the opponent's ring is tougher. It takes you out of your comfort zone. Consequently, it builds character.
-
The cumulative strength of our opponents is unrivaled. This is the toughest post-secondary schedule that any Canadian post-secondary team
faces. Each one of our opponents has exceptional coaches and players. The total experience of all our opponents' coaching staffs is
incredible. The skill level of the players is remarkable. The level of football is superb – as tough as it can get. Playing against
this level of competition is the best way to develop full potential. Winning at this level requires extremes – extreme commitment,
extreme training, extreme preparation, extreme skill, and most importantly, extreme balls.
-
The Niagara X-Men are recruited by a number of post-secondary North American colleges and universities, and pro teams. The X-Men will never
guarantee that you will get scholarships or get signed as free agents but the X-Men do guarantee the opportunity to get recruited. The key
word is opportunity. Research has shown that strength of opponent is a major factor when recruiters evaluate players. The X-Men provide the
strongest opponents possible and a myriad of recruiting opportunities. The competition is fierce for advancement to higher levels of
football. The recruiting process is tough. The opportunity to play against six U.S. university and college opponents is as good as it gets
to develop your talent.
