There is no leadership challenge tougher than teaching a team of student-athletes to work out, hard, consistently; lift weights hard, consistently; train hard, consistently; learn hard, consistently. There are many reasons why. One of the top 51 reasons is PMS Influence – Post-Modern Society Influence that celebrates, encourages, and rewards Screen Addiction. Hiding from life behind a screen, pretending you are important and smart. Flexing and posing every day showing off your body-parts exposing yourself without proving yourself.
There is no leadership challenge tougher than teaching humility and true #groundbreaker work ethic. I’ve taught my teams for 45 years:
- Be a mystery
- No wild celebrations
- No selfies
- No stripper selfies
- No flexing
- No posing
- No exposing
- No punks
- No punts
- Respect the game
- Respect the gym
- Respect your privacy
- Workout in private
- Practice in private
- Never publicize your training
- Show your training on #Gameday and #HiringDay.
Be original. Never become a conformist follower of PMS narcissism, ego-driven, attention-addict, self-centred mentality that encourages you to show off your body every single day of your life. Fill your psychological void by lifting people in-person. Mentor people. Teach others to get #StrongerAndSmarter every day. Build people’s strength to help them get to the next-level. There is no greater reward than putting up ladders for others. None.
I’ve taught teams for 45 yrs:
- If you’re healthy, you have zero excuses for not working out.
- You have zero excuses to give up training and let yourself go.
- When you’re fed-up with feeling f’d-up, don’t complain that you don’t get overnight results.
- Getting back in shape takes a long construction job.
- Don’t complain about the equipment, the program, the coach, the world.
- Don’t blame the innocent for what you did to yourself.
#Lift hard.
#Learn hard.
#Love hard.
Congratulations to college female & male student-athletes for the NIL Ruling. I wish you prosperity and abundance. Hope you all earn millions. You have the right to earn money just like everyone else in college sport does. I’ve read some gloom & doom from opposers who think NIL will kill college sports. Coaches making millions annually didn’t kill college sports. Colleges and universities making millions annually didn’t kill college sports. If you want student-athletes to play for free, coach for fee. Make it equal. Everyone work for free. If you want a level playing field, everyone earn nothing, everyone work for free. No rich, no poor = level playing field.
Thank you for all your questions about working out, football, law enforcement jobs, hiring, business and writing. Find out how to tackle the leadership challenge of teaching student-athletes the value of working out hard.
