We published 65 posts on social media in October. The highest rated post of those 65 was the following:
“Being let down is easier than being lifted up. Those who lift you have a value that can’t be measured. Those who bring you down teach lessons of what not to do and who not to be. #soulofalifter #peace”
This was the biggest hit of October. The 2nd rated post wasn’t even close. The following conclusion were reached about why this post was the number-one rated post in October:
- Being let down happens a lot.
- Being lifted up doesn’t happen as often as being let down.
- We value the lifters in our lives far more than those who don’t lift us.
- Those who depress us teach us nothing of value except what not to be.
- Being lifted up is extremely important in our lives.
- The success and failure of professional and personal relationships are based on who causes us hell and who rescues us from hell.
- We are attracted to those who lift us and detracted from those who don’t.
There are two kinds of people. Those who lift us and those who don’t. Those who lift us will have a special place in our hearts because they are life-changers. Those who lift us transform us from what we don’t want to be to who we want to be. Lifters make you grow by shedding the most intense light on your heart, mind, and soul. Those who don’t lift you bring you darkness by spreading their own inner darkness. They put you in a dark place that you visit when the light is shut off. Those who don’t lift you are doing what they’ve been conditioned to do – spread misery. Misery, after all, loves company. Misery hates being alone. The miserable are hell-bent on making you feel like hell because they stopped lifting long ago or never lifted at all.
It’s impossible to put a value on those who lift you and that which lifts you. If you haven’t found it yet, keep lifting. The more you lift, the more likely you will get lifted. November can be one of the most depressing months. Darkness sets in. You can’t see the light at the end of winter. The end of the year is speeding up with all the broken promises and broken dreams that will generate more New Year’s resolutions that will again end up with broken hearts. Here’s the good news. It doesn’t have to be that way. All you have to do is find lifters and keep lifting. The obstacles in your way are not overcome, they’re lifted. November tests all your willpower. November puts obstacles in your path to see how much you can take. The solution is to keep lifting. Don’t become a depressing person who can’t talk about anything but depressing things. Don’t become a depressing person who can’t think about anything but depressing things. Don’t become a depressing person who only reads depressing things and presses like to depressing things. Be a soul of a lifter. There’s a link after my signature that tells a one-minute introduction of one of the most inspirational stories that I’ve been blessed to have been a part of. The reason was I was surrounded by lifters.
