Losing is a choice until it’s no longer an option.

Losing your faith in your calling means times out or time to take a time-out. Unlike football, real-life doesn’t give us three time-outs per half in order to stop the clock to make the right call. During real-life time-outs, the clock keeps ticking. At some point, the sound of the ticking gets deafening, blocking all other sounds and voices. Staring at the clock won’t help you make the right call. You have to get in the game to make the right call because it’s impossible to read what’s supposed to be read while you’re standing on the sidelines or up in the stands watching others make their fortune.

Synchronicity is a connection of events that can easily be dismissed as coincidence. There are no coincidences. Only connections. We have full freedom to dismiss them, run past them, or pass them off as meaningless moments unworthy of our time and attention. Or we can pay attention and read the signs. The beauty of free will is that it can be exercised any way we want it.

We get to chose what signs to read and how to read them. Everything’s at stake. Our potential is at stake. Our minds are at stake. Our hearts are at stake. Our souls are at stake. There are moments of next-level awareness that can raise our level of consciousness if we take the time to find our calling rather that filling time with uselessness born of desperation, loneliness, and fatigue. Our calling is trying to break through. We can answer it or miss the call while paying attention to nothing. The emptiness that follows a drive that stalls in the middle of nowhere either leaves us stranded or driven to get where we want to get with a sense of urgency that died a slow death after life beat the hell out of it.

This is an excerpt of book I’m writing on human potential. I wrote it after 7 synchronistic events happened in rapid-fire order where people I know spilled their guts over the pain of wasting their God-given gifts, talents, and potential. We’re all in this together. We’re a team. Don’t worry – we’ll line up against any force and play like hell. Order will be restored. Promise. Losing is a choice until it’s no longer an option.

On a different note, the synchronistic events of the past week have jolted my reality and my workout music. Blast from a not-so-distant past. Here’s another back-to-the-basics top 100 Classic workout song that will bring peace and harmony to the unaligned maligned soul and turn into a #soulofalifter. The link is after my signature.
