“In the year 5555, Your arms hangin’ limp at your sides, Your legs got nothin’ to do.”

‘In the Year 2525’ was at the top of the Billboard charts when I started working out in July, 1969. It was my first workout song. I’ve had ‘In the Year 2525’ on my iPod since I bought my first iPod. The song has a special place in my heart and soul. The song is a timeless masterpiece. The lyrics are brilliant. Pure genius. The best part of the lyrics is the opening line of this article. This has been one of my main messages to my football teams for 40 seasons – this is what will happen if you stop working out.

I’ve been warning my football players for decades of the dangers of not working out past their playing career retirement date. Early retirement can turn you into that part of the song. I’m using this same message now for all levels of the X Fitness Group Lifting that I’m coaching. It’s the workout song of the month for November. Who says you can’t go back to the past? Some parts of the past may be f’d up but the good parts need to be revisited over and over and over again. The 60’s produced great music. 1969 was the end of a great decade but the start of a new beginning, a renewal of spirit.

Every level of X Fitness Group Lifting for women and men puts out what you put in. Whether its 2X, 4X, or 6X per week, X Fitness Group Lifting won’t work out unless you work out. Lifting is a game-changer. It is guaranteed to change your life. The moment you give up, the year 5555 gets closer.
An unchallenged soul won’t remain silent. An unchallenged soul speaks harshly through the conscience. There’s a break point in every mind. The farther you push it back, the more personal limits you will break. But nothing just happens. Nothing happens automatically and nothing happens for no reason. What you focus on grows, both good and bad. Here’s a link to ‘In the Year 2525.’ Keep lifting.

Peace.
