My workout iPOD music selection is as good as it gets. From the 1950’s to the present, the very best in gym music. Hundreds of songs, each one chosen for a reason. Nothing made the cut randomly or accidentally. Purposeful gym music selection is essential for the ultimate gym experience. Selecting gym music is like selecting hymns for Mass. It’s a spiritual experience. Every workout has to be uplifting or I’ve wasted my time. Lifting time has to be uplifting to balance the weight of bullshit that’s thrown at you daily, even hourly. Lifting time is a sacred event that’s created for one purpose – self-evolution. The moment you stop, you drop. You drop to a physical hell and mental hell of sedentary idleness, a living state of rigor mortis that creeps up and down engulfing mind, body, and soul in a full state of lifeless, corpse-like, decomposition. Life is short enough as it is. It would be hell to feel dead while you’re legally alive.
I have to be a work in progress with no finish line. That’s the only way to knock the hell out of my weaknesses, one by one. It won’t happen fully. Every ounce of weakness will never be removed. No one will ever reach a state of perfect strength in body, mind, and soul but the key is the chase. The “Chase for Survival” keeps you feeling fully alive because it has purpose. The chase for nothing is meaningless. The chase for something is the worthwhile drive. The chase for nothing causes an energy crisis.
This an excerpt from one of my next books: The Chaser is one who hunts for something or hunts for nothing. Be careful what you chase. Make it worthwhile. Search for something, don’t waste time – in the only life you’ve been given – chasing nothing. Chase wisely, chase passionately. But don’t chase just for the sake of chasing.
